Subject: Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. active
Content: Only one of the 32 first-round  Jerrel Jernigan Jersey  picks from this year's NFL draft has yet to play in an NFL game. That will change Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium when wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suits up for the New York Giants. Beckham, who injured his hamstring in minicamp, reinjured it on the first day of training camp and missed all five preseason games and the first four regular season games due to the injury, is  active for the first time Sunday and will make his NFL debut in the Giants' game against the Atlanta Falcons. The Giants are likely to  ease Beckham into action as an outside receiver in their three-wide receiver sets -- their base formation. His spot is the one that's been handled so far this year by Jerrel Jernigan and Preston Parker. So if he and Parker split snaps evenly Sunday, a good expectation would be about 20 plays for Beckham. The Giants believe his speed on the  outside will help establish a downfield threat they haven't had yet this year and also open up things closer to the line of scrimmage for Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle in the passing game. In other Giants injury  news, linebacker Jon Beason is inactive for the third game in a row with a foot injury, and linebacker Devon Kennard is active after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury.
